Spain puts clock back one hour maybe permanently

Madrid – Spain studying a final return to the ‘natuurlijke’tijdzone. The clock would be permanently put back an hour, so Spaniards living in the same time as their neighbors Portugal and Great Britain.

It is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Until World War II the clock was in Spain similar to that of England and Portugal. Franco, the then ruler of the country, matched the time in his country, however, in sympathy with Hitler, to that of nazie Germany. Then after the war, Portugal, France and Great Britain have again returned to their natural time zone, the clock remained in Spain to those of the rest of Europe.
