Gran Alacant is situated north of the fishing port Santa Pola and only 10 km from the city of Alicante. The international Airport by Alicante, El Altet, is on a 8 km distance (but is not in the flightpath). Gran Alacant is situated at the sea and has different urbanizations. In the area of the Carabassi beach with sand dunes there are green belts, the nature reserve El Clot and a nice boulevard.
