Alicante is a large city with a fantastic mix of culture, beaches, shopping and dining. You can stroll for hours through the traditional Spanish streets of the old town in the shadow of the historic castle, or go shopping along Maisonnave, the main street and a visit to the particularly beautiful beaches and marina is certainly worthwhile.
The beaches in this area are perfect for water sports: water skiing, diving, snorkeling, windsurfing etc.
